Bridgewater Hydro Abatement Project

Project Type: Asbestos Abatement/Demolition

Project Value: $607,900

Duke Energy contracted EHG to decommission the Old Bridgewater Hydroelectric Plant (BWH) in Morganton, NC. Built in 1919, the plant resided along Lake James, which spans McDowell and Burke counties. Due to the age and location of the plant, EHG had to implement environmental controls to prevent any debris from falling into the waterway.
